India’s badminton ace PV Sindhu won her maiden singles gold at the Commonwealth Games. She defeated Michelle Li of Canada, ranked 13th in the world, 21-15, 21-13. The two-time Olympic medallist Sindhu was unsuccessful in the previous two attempts. She settled for silver in 2018 CWG in Gold Coast and bronze in 2014 Glasgow Games.
