大谷翔平の大型電子看板、タイムズスクエアにも出現！MLB旗艦店では大谷グッズが完売！ Ohtani’s giant billboard also appears in Times Square!

大谷選手の2023年アメリカンリーグMVP受賞を祝し、メインスポンサーのニューバランスが、ペンステーション近くの電子看板と同じ内容の広告をタイムズスクエアにも出稿。場所はタイムズスクエアの北側、ブロードウェイとW50丁目の角で、今度は横位置の看板です。
その1ブロック隣りにあるMLBフラッグシップストアに立ち寄ると、大谷選手のグッズが一つも見当たりません。店員さんに尋ねてみたところ、なんと大谷関連の全商品が完売だそうです。巨大な旗艦店の在庫が払拭するなんて、ちょっと信じられません。大谷人気、恐るべし…。

To celebrate Otani’s 2023 American League MVP award, his main sponsor, New Balance, placed an ad in Times Square with the same content as the electronic billboard near Penn Station.
